Anthony “Reds” J. Durkin, 83, of Whitehall and formerly of Philadelphia, died Feb. 6, 2016, in Coplay. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Wetzork) Durkin.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John and Agnes (Mannion) Durkin.
He was a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a clerk for the General Motors Corporation, King of Prussia/Bensalem, for 33 years until he retired in 1998.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, and of the seniors in action group.
He is survived by a son, Daniel S. of North Wales; a daughter-in-law, Laural and her husband Michael Butryn of Coplay; four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kaitlyn, Brandon and Ashley; and a great-grandson.
He was predeceased by a son, Anthony J. Durkin Jr.; a brother; John M. Durkin; and a sister, Mary T. Donahue.
