Samuel “Tunney” G.H. Nonnemacher, 91, of Whitehall, died Jan. 22, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Betty Jean (Warmkessel) Nonnemacher for 68 years.
Born in West Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Samuel G.H. and Cora (Laudenslager) Nonnemacher.
He was a 1942 graduate of Whitehall High School.
He was in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran.
He was a drop forger at Phoenix Forging, Catasauqua, until he retired.
He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.
He was an honorary member of West Catasauqua Fire Company No. 1 and a lifetime member of Hokendauqua American Legion, Post 739.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Beverly Sell and her companion Richard Bushspice, Gloria and her husband Joseph Fabritze and Terri Nonnemacher and her companion Ron Butz; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Sterling and Clarence.
