Rudolph Milisits Sr., 81, of Northampton, died Jan. 23, 2016, at home. He was the husband of Stella (Teklits) Milisits for 54 years.

Born in Szentpeterfa, Hungary, he was a son of the late George and Maria (Geosits) Milisits.

He retired from Lehigh University in 2000. Prior to that, he worked at Penn Dixie Cement Company and had been a butcher in New York.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

He was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Hungarian Society.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Rudolph Jr. and his wife Susan and John and his wife Kelly, all of Northampton; four grandchildren, Rudolph III, Steven, Andrew and Jennifer; a brother, Stephen and his wife Elizabeth Milisits of Naples, Fla.; and two sisters, Rose and her husband John Kozarits of Yorktown Heights, N.Y. and Mary Hajmasi in Hungary.

He was predeceased by a sister; and a brother.
