On Jan. 24, the Emmaus Police Department responded to numerous incidents, including neighbor disputes over snow removal and EMS calls.
The Emmaus Police Department was assisted at one EMS call by neighbors who pitched in to help a neighbor in need. A resident requested EMS for a medical condition. When police, EMS fire and personnel arrived it was found there was no access to the residence due to the heavy snow accumulation.
Neighbors who were outside clearing their own properties of snow volunteered to clear a path from the street. The neighbors cleared a path approximately 40 feet long and three feet wide using snow blowers and shovels. The cleared path allowed the resident to be taken from the house to the EMS unit. Had it not been for their efforts, the resident’s arrival at the hospital would have been considerably delayed.
