Frieda M. Nielsen, 91, of Whitehall, died Jan. 26, 2016, at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Nielsen for 51 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Hermina (Feiler) Gigler.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whitehall, and of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by two sons, Paul A. and his wife Linda of East Allen Township and William J. and his wife Susan of Bethlehem; two daughters, Donna M. and her husband Ron Kneule of Bethlehem Township and Christine A. and her husband Dennis White of Coplay; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa and Anna.
