Liberty’s boys’ swim team remained undefeated with a 107-79 victory over Parkland last Thursday.
Anthony Delcorso, Reid Rossi, Jase Smith, and Nolan Vanatta opened the boys’ meet with a 1:42.94 victory in the 200 medley relay.
The next four events went back and forth between the two teams with Christopher Chambers winning the 200 free in 1:53.87 for the Hurricanes, Matt Engler winning the 200 IM in 2:03.75 for the Trojans, Robert Negron placing first in the 50 free in 21.34 for Liberty, and Chris Lehman winning the diving event with 258.15 points for Parkland.
Rossi then out touched Engler in the 100 butterfly in 55.08, and Negron won the 100 free in 48.08.
John Buttillo, Delcorso, Negron, and Vanatta took first place in the 200 free relay, and Vanatta also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.70.
The Hurricane boys ended the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay when Jake Evert, Brice Kessler, Omar Mohammed, and Negron won in 3:30.55.
Liberty’s girls’ swim team lost to Parkland 106-80.
Kayla Drago was the only individual event winner for the Hurricanes, taking first place in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.73.
At meet’s end, Jocelyn Baker, Drago, Anna Lehr, and Julia McCarthy won the 400 free relay in 3:47.92.
