Thomas P. Leibensperger, Sr., 70, of Macungie, died Jan. 22, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Judith (Sleight) Leibensperger. They were married 20 years. He was the son of the late Paul S. and Geraldine C. (Acker) Leibensperger.

He was employed by IBM, Mack Trucks/Volvo and Bethlehem Steel for many years, retiring in 2008.

He was a 1963 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He loved his family as well as sports and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia teams. He also had a passion for cars and golf.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Bruce W. and his wife Heather, of Schwenksville and Thomas P., Jr., of Springfield, Va.; stepdaughter, Kimberly M. and her husband Andrew Schwarz, of Howard, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon, Lauren, Andrea and Garrett; great-granddaughter, Holly.

The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service 11 a.m. Jan. 28 at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.
