The second marking period will end Jan. 22. There will be no school Jan. 25 for a teacher in-service day.

When a decision is made to close, delay or have an unscheduled early dismissal during the school day, the automated alert system, Connect Ed, will notify parents if they are registered with that system.

PSSA test scheduling for April includes grades three through five, English language arts, April 11-15; math, April 18-22 and grade four, science, April 25-29.

Northwestern Lehigh High School’s chapter of Science National Honor Society invites students in kindergarten to eighth grade to participate in the science fair March 19 at the high school.

Registration forms must be submitted by Feb. 1.

Northwestern Elementary

The numbers of items in lost and found are increasing. Students should check the table in the lobby if he or she is missing something.

Northwestern Elementary School is looking for donations of unused iPhone 5s or higher, with chargers. Flip phones will not work.

The school will be using them with a new app called “I Am Cardboard.” Students will use them for virtual tours.

Weisenberg Elementary

Music teacher Carol Fella is looking for fifth grade students to join choir for the spring.

Choir rehearsals are held 8:10-9 a.m. Wednesdays, before school.
