The Freedom Patriots had 13 first-place finishes in last week’s swim meet against Easton, but it was the Red Rovers who won overall, 59-43 for the girls and 53-48 for the boys.
Colin Burnette, Brandon Burnette, Al J Bell, and Tyler Higgins won the boys’ first event of the day, the 200 medley relay, in 1:49.82.
Rileigh Ellis and Higgins placed first in the 200 free with times of 2:09.00 and 1:54.57, respectively. Colin Burnette won the 200 IM in 2:13.48.
Madison Young won the diving event, scoring 228.75 points.
Andie Graney took first place in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:13.88, and Reilly Ward placed first in the 100 free with a time of 59.71.
Two Patriot swimmers won the 500 free, Ellis with a time of 5:34.72 and Higgins with a time of 5:06.61.
Al J Bell, Brian Seitz, Nick Carbonaro, and Brandon Burnette out touched the Red Rovers to win the 200 free relay in 1:38.96.
Colin Burnette placed first in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.72, and Brandon Burnette won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.30.
In the girls’ final event of the day, Ward, Linda Mao, Alex Koehl, and Ellis took first place in the 400 free relay with a time of 4:18.65.
