Isabel Gilfillan Heffernan, 79, of Emmaus, died Jan. 14, 2016, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Andrew H. Heffernan, M.D. Born in Schenectady, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (McCormick) Gilfillan.

She worked as a public health nurse and a school nurse.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

She is survived by a son, Andrew H. Jr. and his wife Mikiko, of San Mateo, Calif.; daughters, Mary M. and her husband Bruce C. Angeli, of Weston, Conn. and Patricia H. and her husband Tim Wakefield, of Allentown; brother, Robert Gilfillan, of Brentwood, Tenn. and grandchildren, Isabel and Sean.

A memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Jan. 22 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church.
