Gregory L. Slifer, 59, of Emmaus, died Jan. 17, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Lloyd E. Slifer and the late Francine D. (Schumaker) Slifer.

He was a member of Steamfitters Union Local 420.

He is survived by his father; son, Blake G., of Emmaus; sister, Sally and her husband Jim Ryan, of Coopersburg; brother, Scott and his wife Christie, of Woodsboro, Md.

Contributions may be made to the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., to be donated to a charity chosen by the family at a later time.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Jan. 20 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation is 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at Citizen’s Fire Co. #2 following the services at the graveside.
