Winter Ball to be held at Salisbury High School Jan. 16
The 2016-2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid is open. Be sure to apply as soon as possible to ensure you’ll get as much financial aid as possible. Also make sure to check the Salisbury High School Guidance webpage for any new college scholarship information. Any amount of money helps.
SHS’s Winter Ball will be held 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 16 in the old gym. The dress code is semi-formal and only ticket holders will be admitted to the dance. Tickets are being sold at all lunches leading up to the dance but tickets will also be available at the door.
Entrance to the dance will be closed 7:45 p.m. so be sure to get there on time. Once you enter the dance, you may not leave and return. There will be no re-admissions for any reason. You must have your ticket in hand when entering the dance.
Students are not to trade tickets. Arrive with the number ticket registered to you. It is strongly advised students bring their student ID with the ticket.
All guests who are not SHS students must complete and turn in a guest registration form no later than noon Jan. 14. Forms can be picked up outside of Room 122 and should be returned to Room 122 upon completion. Any unregistered guests will not be admitted to the dance.
Voting for Winter Ball Court will take place at the dance until 8:30 p.m. The court will be introduced and the Winter Ball Prince and Princess will be announced 9 p.m.
Senior portraits must be submitted for yearbook inclusion by Jan. 30. You may submit senior photos to the EYAS yearbook in one of two ways: digital proof submission or a hard copy of the photo.
If you submit the photo digitally, the picture cannot include watermark and it should be attached to an email to shspress@salisburysd.org. A JPEG is preferred. A hard copy must be a wallet size only (2.5 inches by 3.5 inches) for both hard copy and digital prints.
The hard copy of the photo must be dropped off at the school office in an envelope marked with the senior’s name, the date the photograph was submitted and a phone number the yearbook staff can use to contact you at if they have any concerns or questions.
It is recommended seniors wear formal or semi-formal clothing in their portraits. The SHS dress code will be strictly enforced for photo submissions. Both traditional and unique poses are acceptable but must align with school rules and regulations for appropriate conduct.
Submissions for senior baby photos are also due Jan. 30. For additional information about senior portraits, contact Mr. Pacitti at jpacitti@salisburysd.org.
