Warren W. Bassler, 89, of Macungie, died Jan. 4, 2016, in Lehigh Commons. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Geiger) Bassler. Born in Salisbury Township, he was a son of the late Walter and Hazel M. (Strum) Bassler.

He was a custodian for the Allentown School District for many years before retiring.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by a daughter, Connie K. and her husband John Kern; stepsons, Terry and Robert Bowersox; stepdaughter, Gail A. Fenstermaker; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; six step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Preston and Bill and a sister, Leona Hoffman.

Arrangements were made by the Trexler Funeral Home, Allentown.
