Lucia R. Harman, 84, of Emmaus, died Jan. 6, 2016, at Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. She was the wife of Sturley B. Harman. They celebrated 56 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mabel (Kuhns) Ortt.

She retired in 1993 as a librarian at Emmaus High School for 25 years and she was previously the head librarian at Catasauqua Jr. and Sr. High Schools for six years.

She was a graduate of Kutztown University and a member of St. John’s UCC, Emmaus.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Beverly and her husband William Nuss and Tracy Cogan; son, Keith and his wife Darlene; grandchildren, Linda, Terri, Karen, Kimberly, Lance and Justin; great-grandchildren, Jared and Haley. She was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Gerlach.
