Ralph “Nick” Paul III, 68, of Vera Cruz, died Jan. 2, 2016 in his home. He was the husband of Diane M. (Copeland) Paul, They were married since 2006. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Ralph N. Paul Jr. and Bertha A. (Helt) Paul.

He was the owner of NIX Enterprises in Vera Cruz for many years until retiring.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam, where he received three Purple Hearts, one Bronze Star and served as a sergeant.

He was a life member of the Macungie VFW and the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment “Black Horse.”

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Joan Mondovich; granddaughter, Shannon Smith; great-grandson, Cameron Hollman; stepdaughters, Cynthia Yaglowski, Valerie Downing, Melissa Yaglowski; daughter-in-law, Kate Yaglowski; brother, William; sister, Dawn Kohler; seven step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Paul Mondovich III and stepson, Bernard Yaglowski.

Services will be 7:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in the funeral home.
