Kermit H. “Kurt” Bieber, 86, of New York City, died Dec. 31, 2015. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Paul T., Sr. and Sallie R. (Snyder) Bieber.

He was a 1946 Emmaus High School graduate and worked locally at Sears before serving in the Army during the Korean War. Thereafter he moved to New York where he studied drama, dance and voice at The American Theatre Wing and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

He is survived by sisters, Norma J. and her husband Richard Grammes, of Coplay, and Caroline M. and her husband Delano Bortz, of Macungie; brother, Lloyd, of Miami; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Paul T. Jr. and Dale W.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, 18103. A calling hour will begin 12:30 p.m. Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.
