Edward D. Zimmerman, 65, of Whitehall, died Jan. 1, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Betty J. (Peters) Zimmerman for 41 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clair and Elinore (Schimmel) Zimmerman.

He worked at Mack Truck and B. Braun Medical for many years until he retired in 2009.

He was a life member of West Catasauqua Fire Company.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Eric J. and his companion Ashley of Catasauqua; a sister, Susan Mitchell of Harrisburg; a god-daughter, Lisa Thompson; nieces; nephews; brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.

There will be a calling hour 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 8, followed by a funeral service 11 a.m. at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
