Freedom’s swim team competed against William Allen prior to the Christmas break when the Patriots won 20 out of 24 events.
Alex Koehl, Reilly Ward, Linda Mao, and Rileigh Ellis opened the meet with a first place victory in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:12.60, and Colin Burnette, Brandon Burnette, Cameron Bell, and Troy Watlington also placed first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.36.
Brian Seitz won the 200 free in 1:59.51, and Watlington placed second. Ward was first in the 200 IM in 2:24.96, and Mao placed second.
In the boys’ 200 IM, Bell was first in 2:18.48, Andy Conzola was second, and Spencer Smith placed third.
Andie Graney won the 50 free for the girls in 28.49, and Al J Bell won the 50 free for the boys in 24.34. Ellis and Tyler Higgins won the 100 fly in 1:16.11 and 59.89, respectively, and Koehl and Brandon Burnette won the 100 free in 1:07.82 and 54.82, respectively. Watlington came in second and Conzola was third.
Ward took first place in the 500 free with a time of 5:59.25, and Al J Bell also won the 500 free with a time of 5:18.38.
Al J Bell, Higgins, Seitz, and Brandon Burnette teamed up to win the 200 free relay in 1:40.37.
Higgins also won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.23, and Mao also won the same event in 1:25.67. Colin Burnette took first place in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.49.
The Patriots ended the day with Ward, Bridget Tarnowski, Emily Justice, and Megan Schupp winning the 400 free relay in 4:42.14, and Seitz, Colin Burnette, Al J Bell, and Higgins winning the same event in 3:40.10.
