Barrett joins Saint Michael’s

Moravian Academy graduate and Northampton native, Kalli Barrett, has joined the athletic training staff at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt. after earning a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Vermont in May 2015.

Barrett will be the fourth full-time member of the athletic training staff, according to Josh Kessler, Director of Athletic Communications at St. Michael’s.

Most recently, Barrett was an athletic training intern at Division I Alabama State University in Montgomery, Ala., where she worked exclusively with the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field and women’s volleyball teams.

Barrett’s initial on-site experience came at the University of Vermont, where she spent Spring 2013 working with the men’s soccer and men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams. In Spring 2014, Barrett served as an athletic trainer at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington, Vt., overseeing four varsity squads and the prep ice hockey teams. That fall, Barrett earned more experience, working at Fairfax Family Physical Therapy and volunteering as an assistant field hockey coach at Rice Memorial.

As an undergrad, Barrett was a four-year member of the University of Vermont field hockey team. She was recognized three times on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad, and she qualified twice for both the American East Academic Honor Roll and the Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Barrett is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is a Board of Certification certified athletic trainer.
