Peter Victor Fritsch, of Macungie, died Dec. 16, 2015. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John P. and Catherine I. (Strauss) Fritsch.

He graduated from Brandywine Heights High School and Kutztown University with a bachelor of science degree in art education and a master’s degree in education.

He was an art teacher in the Reading School District and taught Pennsylvania German history and culture as a part-time instructor at Ursinus College. He was also an author, poet, musician and folk artist.

He is survived by a sister, Margaret D. Beach; nephews and niece. He was predeceased by a brother, Jessie L.

Honoring the deceased’s wishes, there will be no public service.
