George J. Glueck, 81, of Macungie, died Dec. 23, 2015. He was the husband of the late MaryLouise “Gail” Glueck who died in May of 2000. They were married 44 years. He was the son of the late George and Marian (Gross) Glueck.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1958 and was a graduate of Lafayette College. He worked as an engineer for Bell Labs, Western Electric and AT&T from 1963 until his retirement in 1994.
He was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.
One of his great joys was coaching youth sports. He started coaching CYO wrestling and football and later was an assistant coach and statistician for the Bethlehem Catholic football team. He was especially proud of being a part of the 1988 and 1990 Becahi state championship teams.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was an excellent bowler, having bowled two “perfect games.”
He is survived by children, Susan, of Bethlehem; George, Jr., of Lehighton; Robert, of Nazareth; Lawrence and his wife Lynn, of Coopersburg and Steven and his wife Joanne, of Douglasville; sisters, Maryann Thee, of Lansdale and Helen and her husband Forrest Kerr, of Colmar; brothers, James and his wife Ursula, of Arizona and Lawrence and his wife Kathleen, of Massachusetts; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
