Betty E. Sinkbile, 88, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 22, 2015, at the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of Augustus J. Sinkbile for the past 65 years. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Heiser) Layton.

She was employed in the cafeteria at South Mountain Jr. High School and as a homemaker. She formerly was the secretary of the Mountainville Lady Lions.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Sandra Bednarik and Patrice Kerschner; sister, Ruth Shirock; grandchildren, Jason, Joseph, Christie, Joshua and Larsen; great-granddaughter, Katelynn. She was predeceased by two son-in-laws and four siblings.
