Terry G. Meyers, 80, of Allentown, died Dec. 25, 2015, at his home in Allentown. He was the husband of Angeline M. (Abruzzese) Meyers for 58 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harold W. J. and Lillian E. (Wagner) Meyers.

He was a 1953 graduate of Allentown High School.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He was an instructor with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. He worked for the City of Allentown Parks Department, and then for Ris Paper Company until he retired in 1997. He was an employee of The Great Allentown Fair for the past 18 years; for 15 of those years, he was the assistant grounds superintendent.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Allentown, where he was an elder emeritus and, for 30 years, a church bell ringer. He was a member of Teamsters Local 773. He was active with the William Allen Band Parents Organization, of which he was a past president, and in the patriot organization.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dwayne T. and his wife KimAnn (Greb) of Whitehall; three grandsons, Nicholas R. Ortiz and Jacob and Gavin Meyers; a granddaughter, Ashley M. Ortiz; three great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Ortiz and Amaya and Javon Shelton; a son-in-law, Pedro Ortiz; and many Wagner cousins.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Doreen M. Ortiz.

There will be a calling time beginning 9:30 a.m., followed by the service 11 a.m., both Dec. 31 at the church, 623 Cleveland St., Allentown, 18103.

Contributions may be made to the church’s Christian fund.
