Blessed with generosity of spirit and unfailing honesty, her passions included classical music, crocheting and knitting, wildlife and equal rights for all.

After she retired, she and her husband lived for many years in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she was a member of the Greater Pinellas Music Teachers Association.

Most recently she lived with her daughter and family in Emmaus.

She is survived by a daughter, Ardith M. Hilliard, a granddaughter, Jessica M. Stach, a step-granddaughter, Dana Abadal of St. Petersburg, Fla., and three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Brian and Laura.

Contributions may be made to Southern Poverty Law Center (www.splcenter.org), the National Wildlife Federation (www.nwf.org) or SPCA Tampa Bay (www.spcatampabay.org).

The family will hold a memorial service in the spring, when her cherished flowers are in bloom. Arrangements were made by the Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
