Northwestern Lehigh cheering coach Kris Dangello recently brought some of the 17 cheerleaders, from the middle and high school, to the school board meeting.

Dangello said the cheerleaders perform hard work every year. They attended camp at Valley Elite Athletics and made signs for the football lockers.

The team bonded at dinner on Fridays after school, she explained, and pep rallies were held at the high school.

The team took second at a competition and the girls handled it well when the music stopped unexpectedly. They had a video to show the board.

Attending the school board meeting were: Cathy Creveling, assistant coach; Attie Fogal; Katie Narkin; Madison Schettig; Kristie Dangello, head coach; Megan Williams; Victoria Walker, Sandra Williams and Lexi Schancy.

Board member Ron Morrison said he was very impressed with the team.
