Kenneth K. Kunkle

Kenneth K. Kunkel, 68, of Macungie, passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015.

He was the husband of Kathryn M. (Narkevich) Kunkel, to whom he was married 30 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Earl M. Kunkel, Sr. and Ethel B. (Buchert) Kunkel Gerhard.

Before retiring, he worked as a dispatching supervisor for various trucking companies and enjoyed working with Mark “Dutch” Kistler as a licensed auctioneer.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church and was a member of MOST at church.

He was very proud to be part of the Parkland Trojan Alumni Varsity Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Kristopher K. and his wife Tara of Catasauqua, Michael K. of Macungie, daughter Kelly K. and her husband Scott Rothenhoefer of Hershey, brothers David W. and his wife Suzanne, Hank C., both of Allentown, Earl M. Jr. and his wife Mary of Jim Thorpe, six grandchildren, Garrett and his wife Ashley, Zachary, Kristopher P., Katie, Kaleb and Isobela, great-grandson Warren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Dec. 19 at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown.

Calling hour will begin at noon.

Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made in his memory to the Parkland Trojan Alumni Varsity Club, (to be used towards the scholarship fund), c/o the funeral home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown, 18102 or a charity of one’s choice.
