Edward J. Ferenchak, 86, of North Catasauqua, died Dec. 18, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Lucille (Butler) Ferenchak for 63 years.
He was a son of the late John and Mary (Kuchera) Ferenchak.
He was in the U.S. Coast Guard during peacetime.
He was a welder for many years for Fuller Company until he retired.
He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church and was a Eucharistic minister, sang in the choir and worked on the Monday morning work crew.
He was a member of the Young At Heart seniors group.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Kay and her husband Eric Koetteritz and Elieen and her husband Richard Lang; a son, Edward and his wife Marge Suranofsky; a brother, Bernard and his wife Maxie Ferenchak; 10 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters, Mary, Kay, Irene and Frances, and four brothers, Jim, Andrew, Joseph and John.
