Charles F. Beasman, Sr.

Charles F. Beasman, Sr., 82, of Lower Macungie Township, and Bradenton, Fla., died Dec. 8, 2015, in Bradenton, Fla. He was the husband of Betty L. (Crawford) Beasman. They were married 45 years. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Arthur and Elise (Neumeister) Beasman.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1962 and a second bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering in 1967, both from Johns Hopkins University.

He retired in 1998 as General Manager of Engineering for Bethlehem Steel Corporation after 41 years in various engineering positions.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was an Army veteran having served from 1953 to 1955.

He is survived by his wife; son, Charles, Jr. and his wife Linda, of Baltimore, Md.; daughter, Wanda and her husband Gary Thompson, of Baltimore, Md.; daughter, Karen and her husband Stephen Norris, of Annapolis., Md.; stepdaughter, Vicki Kemp Wright, of Salisbury, Md.; brother, Robert W. and his wife Cindy, of Belair, Md.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a stepson, Joseph Kemp.

Contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown or First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem.

A memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Dec. 19 at St. Thomas More, Allentown. Arrangements were made by the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
