Leon M. Haydt, 87, of Danielsville, died Dec. 4, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice-Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Pauline G. (Rehrig) Haydt.

Born in Trachsville, he was a son of the late Silas and Mamie (Beers) Haydt.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army, 1946-47.

He worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the 42” and combination mill for 39 years until he retired in 1987. He was a farmer, butcher and construction worker.

He is survived by two sons, Leon L. and Barry A., both of Danielsville; three daughters, Linda and her husband Richard Siekonic of Northampton, Susan J. and Maryann and her husband Terry Edelman, all of Danielsville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by six brothers, Allen, Clarence, Clyde, Clifford, Franklin and Warren, and three sisters, Bertha Bollinger, Pauline Lichtenwalner and Ruth Green.
