Bernard “Bernie” T. Dougherty, 64, of North Catasauqua, died Dec. 6, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown.

He was a son of the late Bernard Dougherty and the late Rose Marie (Reppert) Becker.

He was in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.

He was a quality inspector for Phoenix Forge. He worked previously for Eaton Corporation and Chain Bike.

He was a member of the Catasauqua American Legion Post 215.

He is survived by two daughters, Molly and Caitlin and her husband Christopher Wellington; a stepson, Jason Labish; five sisters, Ruthi Dougherty Stanley, Nancy and her husband William Pesarcik, Christine and her husband Andrew Andreas, Deborah and her husband Richard Bauer and Sandy Steverson; four grandchildren, Adyn, Christopher Jr., Amani and Carrera; stepmother, Marilyn Dougherty; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Becker, and two sisters, Diane Becker and Mary Dougherty.

Calling hour will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Dec. 11 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 11 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1229 Third St., N. Catasauqua, 18032.
