Loretta C. Scheffley, 80, formerly of Wescosville, died Nov. 24, 2015, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late William R. Scheffley, Sr., who died March 17, 2014. Born in Frackville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bette (Brooks) Casselberry.

She was a 1956 graduate of St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Allentown.

She is survived by a son, Raymond W. and his wife Christine, of Hazleton; daughter, Cheryl S. and her husband Robert Szajna, of Reading; sister, Marsha Quilty, of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, William R., Jr.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in Bethany United Methodist Church, 1208 Brookside Road, Allentown. Call 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in the church. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
