Christmas show Dec. 4 in park

Upper Macungie Township is hosting a Giggle Magic Frosty Fun Holiday show with Santa 6-8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Independent Park, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville.

Frosty the Snowman’s book and song will be incorporated into the show and Frosty the puppet will visit, too.

Baked goods, hot chocolate and coffee will be available for purchase.

Seating is limit to 90 people, so register early. There is a small fee per person to attend.

The township and Rich Kiser is have pick-up volleyball 8-10 p.m. Tuesdays at Fogelsville Elementary School, 312 S. Route 100, Breinigsville.

Children must be 14 years old to participate. All skills levels are welcome.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall Township, will be closed Nov. 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Technical Tuesday for seniors is scheduled for 3-4 p.m. Dec. 1 at Luther Crest Retirement Community, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.

The senior’s book club will meet to discuss “China Dolls” by Lisa See 3-4 p.m. Dec. 8 at Luther Crest Retirement Community, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.

Explore the 1938 San Francisco World Fair from the perspective of three women as they reveal secrets and tempt fate.

No events will be held at the library Nov. 30 to Jan. 9, 2016, as the library will be closed for renovations.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, will host a Christmas party sponsored by Ladies Aid 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 7. Everyone is invited to attend.

Bring a covered dish to share at the dinner. Then enjoy singing carols, a special visit from St. Nick and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

There will be an optional adult gift exchange.

Parents are responsible for bringing gifts for their children with their names on them.

Everyone is also invited to bring a non-perishable item for the food bank.
