Aloisia Simitz, 93, of Whitehall, died Nov. 18, 2015. She was the wife of the late Alfred Simitz.

Born in Hungary, she was a World War II survivor and immigrated to the U.S. in 1950.

She worked in the Phoebe Floral greenhouses for 27 years.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and of the church’s former Altar and Rosary Society and the Women of St. Elizabeth.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda L. and her husband Andrew Meckes; a sister, Margaret “Greta” Stribrany; and extended family.

She was predeceased by three siblings.
