Francis H. Brobst, 88, of Allentown, formally of Wescosville, New Providence, N.J., Tehran, Iran, and Walnutport, died Nov. 12, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Elsie L. (Clauser) Brobst and companion of Anna Mae Greenawalt. Born in Guthsville, he was a son of the late Luther O. and Mabel G. (Dengler) Brobst.

He was a graduate of Allentown High School, received a B.S. degree from Penn State University and an MBA from Lehigh University.

He served as a flight engineer on seaplanes in the Navy from 1944 to 1946.

He was an inspector and certified reliability and quality engineer for Western Electric and American Bell International spanning a career of over 30 years and retiring in 1986.

He was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church, New Tripoli, serving on the church council.

He was a member of Lehigh Lodge 326 F&AM and Slatington Lodge 440 F&AM.

He is survived by a son, Michael L. and his wife Sharon, of Dublin, Ohio; daughter, Nancy J. and her husband Raymond Smith, of Chino Hills, Calif.; grandchildren, Bradley F., Bradley M., and Ashley; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Schellhammer.
