Richard F. Creyer, 78, of Northampton, died Nov. 1, 2015, at his home. He was the husband of the late Nancy M. (Dech) Creyer.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Howard and Helen (Smith) Creyer.

He worked in the custodial department of the Northampton Area School District for 21 years until he retired in 1999. Prior to that, he was a self-employed contractor of siding and roofing services for many years.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kreidersville.

He was a former member of the Sons of Veterans, Northampton. He was a woodworker.

He is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Padgett and LeAnne M. and her husband Gary Krill; two sons, Bradley and his wife Melissa Creyer, and Eric Creyer, all of Northampton; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Brent Creyer; and his companion of 20 years, Shirley Steigerwalt.
