Plans are in the works. Have you taken an original winter photo within the last year? If so, join the Emmaus Arts Commission’s photo contest. Submit your 8 by 10 matted photo (matt not to exceed 16 by 20) and entrance fee to the EAC Photo Contest, Emmaus Borough Hall, 20 S. Fourth Street. The photo must be of a winter/fall scene during 2015. One entry per person. Cash prizes will be given to first, second and third place (no age groups) 7:45 pm. The gallery of photos will be shown 6:15 to 8 p.m. at the Community Center for the Arts, second floor of Borough Hall Dec. 5 during the Emmaus Main Street Partner’s Old Fashioned Christmas celebration. Join friends to enjoy the sight and sounds of the holiday season with the Emmaus Arts Commission. Since 2005 the Emmaus Arts Commission has brought family-friendly events and artistic community pride to Emmaus and the Lehigh Valley. With the backing of the Emmaus Borough Council and the surrounding businesses, the mission is to encourage and promote all of the arts and to develop an appreciation of the arts, which will enrich and enhance the quality of life within the Emmaus and surrounding Pennsylvania areas.
