Joseph E. Lacey, 81, of Northampton, died Nov. 3, 2015, at his home. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Moyer) Lacey for 52 years.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Katherine E. Lacey.

He was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army.

He was a machine operator for C&D Powder Systems, Conshohocken, for 10 years until he retired in 1996. Prior to that, he worked at the former Reichard Coulston Inc. Paint Mills, Bethlehem, for 18 years; and also worked part-time in security for various Lehigh Valley companies.

He attended Christ Church UCC, Bethlehem.

He was a former member of both the Raccoon Club and the former St. Nicholas Club, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy A., Lacey; a son, Sean J. Lacey and companion Rosa Rodriguez, all of Northampton; two granddaughters, Ashley Turner and Seana Lacey; and a step-granddaughter, Summer Rivera.

He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Woerner.
