Albert J.V. Tomek, 93, of Lower Milford Township, died Nov. 8, 2015, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Lois M. (Patterson) Tomek. They were married 68 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Stephan and Rose (Polak) Tomek.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during World War II.
He was employed by Mack Trucks for 30 years before retiring as a supervisor in 1976.
In addition to being an avid follower of the Penn State Nittany Lions, he enjoyed hunting, bowling, and spending time with his family, especially the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John E. and Daniel S., both of Lower Milford Township; a daughter, Dr. LoisAnn and her husband William Schaub, of East Setauket, N,Y,; two granddaughters, Erika and her husband James Makarius Jr., and their children Kyleigh and Braeden, and Jessica and her husband Dr. Eoin Gregory and their children Graham and Caleb; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Stephens Funeral Home Inc.. 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. There will be a calling hour 1 to 2 p.m. Nov. 13 in the funeral home.
