Sixth-grade students at the middle school were invited to attend a mixer Sept. 25.

The event is designed to help last year’s fifth grade students from Northwestern and Weisenberg elementary schools merge into one class of sixth graders.

Students ran in sack races and looked for gummy worms in whipped cream.

They also placed an Oreo on their forehead and tried maneuvering it into their mouths without touching it or having if fall off of their forehead.
