Samuel S. Santee Jr., 70, of Allentown, died Oct. 14, 2015, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, after a battle with leukemia. He was the husband of Carla R. (Blanchard) Santee for 34 years.
Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Samuel Sr. and Theresa (Klitch) Santee.
He was a 1963 graduate of Coplay High School.
He was the proprietor of Santee’s Service, Coplay, since his 1982 purchase of the family business from his father.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Schoenersville.
He was a co-founder and the first chief of the Han-Le-Co Fire Company. He was an Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Coplay Sportsmen Association, ATA and the Coplay trap team.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Marika and her husband Kevin Chronister, and two grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew, all of Carlisle; two sisters, Carol and her husband Lee Zettlemoyer of Allentown and Sharyn and her husband Paul Strisovsky of Whitehall; and a cousin, Phil and his wife Val Gogel and their son Cale of Danielsville.
