Mary P. Heimbach, 90, of Macungie, died Sept. 26, 2015. Born in East Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Paul O. and Lulu V. (Renninger) Heimbach.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Eby Insurance Agency and the William H. Hacker Company in Allentown, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church and the former Ebenezer E.C. Church, East Greenville, where she started the church library, was vice president of the Adult Missionary Society, primary superintendent, president of the C.E. Society, organist until 1989 and financial bookkeeper for the church treasurer.
She was a member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered in the gift shop for 21 years. She served on several committees for the auxiliary’s annual May Daze and knitted baby caps, blankets, booties and prayer shawls for hospital patients.
She enjoyed traveling, crafts, gardening, weekly Bible Study and monthly fellowship playing games with friends.
She is survived by a nephew, Stanley Jr. and his wife Janet, of Sinking Springs; nieces, Louise and her husband Jerome Silverman, of Yardley and Edith and her husband Tom Cohen, of California. She was predeceased by siblings, Stanley, Sr., Helen and Mildred Meyerowitz.
