Children’s book author Jerry Pallotta will be visiting Northwestern Elementary Oct. 20.

He is the author of more than 60 picture books, including alphabet books, science, non-fiction, math concepts and holiday stories. He is also the author of the “Who Would Win” series.

Weisenberg

Elementary

A Race for Education will take place on Oct. 30. Profits will be used for field trips and various student activities.

This fundraiser replaces the Gifts N Things fundraiser.

If the PTO reaches the goal of $15,000, the student in each classroom who brought in the most label names will get to turn Principal Berlet into an ice cream sundae at a school assembly!

Author Jerry Pallotta will visit Oct. 21.

Northwestern Lehigh Alumni Association is having a Longaberger/31 basket bingo on Oct. 18, at the Lynnport Fire Company, Behler Road, Lynnport.

Doors open at noon, bingo starts at 1 p.m.

There will also be a Chinese auction, hostess raffles and food available for purchase.

There is also a free raffle. Bring up to five canned goods or pairs of socks and receive up to five raffle tickets.

All donations benefit the Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry.

This bingo benefits students by providing funds for teacher mini grants.

In memory of Sylvia Walker Koenig, Class of 1961 Northwestern Lehigh alumna and dedicated NWL employee for 35 years.

The alumni association and high school Leo Club are collecting socks, of all colors and sizes, to donate to The Blessings Shop in the Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry.
