Paulette F. Shankweiler

Paulette F. Shankweiler, 67, of Zionsville, died Oct. 3, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, friends and pastor. She was the wife of William L. Shankweiler. They were married 47 years in May. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Arlene V. (Schafer) Scheirer, of Zionsville and the late Paul L. Scheirer.

She worked at Countryside Drive In, Lehigh Valley Dairy, Air Products, Dutch Treat Drive In, and lastly for Allegiance Home Health Care.

She was a faithful lifetime member of Old Zionsville United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, directed the choir and was a church pianist, and was on the worship and music committee and the bell choir.

She was a member of Upper Milford Fire Co. Western District Ladies Auxiliary. She sang with Crazy Willie and the Country Rangers and The Earl Keller Band.

She enjoyed going for a ride in her hot air balloon, “The Clip Away.”

She is survived by her husband; mother; son, Paul and his wife, Christa; grandchildren, Melissa, Stefani, Devin, Kimberlee and Natalee. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 8 in the church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville. Calling hours will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville, and 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 8 in the church.
