Kathleen A. “Nana” Haberstumpf, 96, of Emmaus, died Oct. 2, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late George H. Haberstumpf. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mayme (Amig) Merkel.

She, along with her husband, owned and operated the former Chestnut Street Market for 38 years.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by sons, Larry G., of Bath and Ronald S. and his wife LouAnn ,of Bethlehem; daughter, Beverley J. and her husband Owen Mangold, of Emmaus; sister, Jean Creveling, of Allentown; sister-in-law, Lois, of Emmaus; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made in her name to a charity of choice.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 9 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
