Thomas C. Christman, 77, of Alburtis, died Sept. 23, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Jeanne A. (Brown) Christman. They were married for 46 years last December. Born in Alburtis, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Lillian M. (Moyer) Christman.
He was a Lehigh County assessor for 12 years, retiring in 2000. Previously, he was employed at the former General Electric, Allentown, for 28 years and member of the executive board UE 128.
He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd UCC Church, Alburtis.
He was a United States Army veteran serving as a cryptographer for three years predominately in Alaska.
He served on Alburtis Borough Council, and was the former secretary of the Alburtis Fire Company.,
He is survived by his wife; sons, Thomas, Jr. and his wife Kira, of Temple, Paul and his wife Christine, of Macungie; brother James and his wife Linda, of Emmaus and Carol and her husband Rev. Reed Acheson, of Allentown; six grandchildren.
