Theda E. (Krauss) Laubach, 97, resident of The Lutheran Home at Topton (Diakon) died Sept. 15, 2015. She was the wife of the late Rev. Robert A. Laubach, who died in 1995. Born in Macungie, she was a daughter of the late Charles B. Krauss and Annie R. (Moll) Krauss.
She was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1936 and a graduate of the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1939.
She served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps 1942 to 1944.
She retired from the Quakertown Hospital as a registered nurse in 1975.
For many years she was an active church member with Lutheran churches in Fogelsville, Richlandtown, Bath and Allentown, as a member of the choir, Ladies Aid and Lutheran Church Women. In the past years she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Topton.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia L. wife of Donald L. Hallman, of Fort Washington; grandson, Jonathan A. and his wife Christine Hallman, of Williamsburg, Va.; great-grandsons, Josiah A. and Matthias A. Hallman; granddaughter, Katherine E. Hallman, of Fort Washington; sister, Marilyn Rickey, of Allentown; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Theron Krauss and sisters Christine Greiss and June Bastian.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 23 in the Henry Chapel Auditorium of The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Ave., Topton. Call 10:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 23 in the Henry Chapel Auditorium, Topton.
