Ethel M. Yerk, 72, of Allentown, died Sept. 6, 2015. She was the wife of Rodney G. Yerk. They were married 54 years March 18. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Ethel (Rudolph) Steiner Covely, of Cedarbrook and the late Samuel Steiner.

She was a member of Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

She was an administrative assistant for Diakon Lutheran Ministries.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Sherri Yerk-Zwickl and her husband William, of Slatington and Christy Yerk-Smith and her husband Kent, of Allentown; sisters, June Oliveira and Jane DeMichele; four grandchildren, Meghan and Gregory Zwickl, Keira and Kevin Smith.

Services are private, arrangements were made by the Sell-Herron Funeral Home, Allentown.
