Ann W. Schleifer Hoskins, 99, of Allentown, formerly of Emmaus, died Aug. 24, 2015, in Emeritus at Allentown. She was the wife of the late Erwin H. Schleifer and Robert E. Hoskins. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis D. and Frances (Metzger) West.

She was a direct decedent of botanist John Bartram.

She worked for Rodale Press and Blue Cross, retiring in 1976.

She is survived by a son, Gary Schleifer and his wife Mary, of Crownsville, Md.; daughter, Frances and her husband Kenneth Sletvold, of Allentown; daughter-in-law, Kay Hoskins; sister, Barbara Elliott, of Naples, Fla.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
