Frank J. Paano, 92, of Emmaus, formerly of Allentown, died Sept. 10, 2015, at Lehigh Center, Macungie. He was the husband of the late Dolores M. (Rau) Paano. They celebrated 48 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Sottolano) Paano.

He was a decorated Army veteran who served in World War II, having received numerous medals and four bronze stars.

He was employed at Modern Universal Slack and KidsPeace.

He was a member of St. Ann Church, Emmaus.

He was the youngest and last surviving of 13 siblings. He was a very loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by a daughter, Dolores and her former husband, John Kulik; grandchildren, Michael Kulik and Christina and her husband Eric Schantzenbach; great-grandchildren, Haley and Zachary Schantzenbach; sister-in-law, Peggy; nieces and nephews.
