Thomas F. Racheck, 89, of Macungie, died Aug. 29, 2015, in Lehigh Center, Macungie. He was the husband of the late Wilhelmine (Madrid) Racheck. He was the son of the late Thomas Elmer and Josephine (Popyak) Racheck and stepmother Barbara Maciag.
He lived in Allentown since 1967 and was the owner of Tommie’s Bake Shop on Hamilton Street, Allentown and a baker at Dunkin’ Donuts at 15th Street, Allentown and Weis/Kings, Schnecksville, working until he was 81 years old.
He enjoyed taking the family camping, loved to bowl in different leagues in the Lehigh Valley and enjoyed relaxing in the Poconos.
He served during World War II in the Navy.
He was a member of Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown.
He is survived by a daughter, Thomasine (Tommie) Schoemaker, of Whitehall; son, Thaddeus, USMC, retired, of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Margaret Roe, of Tunnel, N.Y.; brothers, Andrew, of New York City, N.Y. and Alfred, of Binghamton, N.Y.; granddaughters, Tammi and her husband Thomas Stout, Jr., Tricia, Juliann and Trina; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Florence Hull and Karl.
Arrangements were made by the Robert C. Weir Funeral Home, Allentown.
